While they began fading as myths or wasteland legends to many, the truth is that they found a higher calling the Ghosts fled with a strange woman named Iris to the Overgrown City, where for years they underwent intensive brainwashing and were subjected to experiments that left them with powerful and mysterious nanotrite abilities.Īfter an unspecified amount of time, the Ghosts are now ready to reclaim their rightful place in the wasteland. Many people assumed that they had simply been wiped out. Following the Authority Wars, the Ghosts disappeared. The post starts off by detailing the plot of the expansion, which revolves on the titular Ghosts: A group of ruthless, vicious, tactical, and cruel raiders. Through a posting on the Bethesda website, info about the game’s first major expansion includes details on a brand-new location, new weapons, and added abilities to try out. The DLC is more Rage 2 and that is okay with me, I wish the devs had more of a mandate to deliver something truly great and less rushed. The post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Rage 2 has just unveiled details regarding its huge upcoming expansion titled Rise of the Ghosts. Take all this feedback knowing I haven't completed the DLC yet, so I don't know if anything of what I have said is wrong.
Lastly there are no replayable elements like Mutant Bash TV in the base game. Outside of the main hub area, there is a lot that feels unfinished and lacks character. The trade posts you liberate feel bare bones and a missed opportunity to have something interesting going on, like what Far Cry New Dawn did where the enemy can take them back and we take them back but with escalating difficulty. The skyscraper buildings are for show and you cant go into any of them and have a raid style clear out of a multi floor enemy base. For example, there are hardly any enemy bikes despite there being loads of streets and roads, no convoys at all. I like how the new area looks but it is never capitalised on with gameplay. The new weapon is good and the new enemies offer a challenge. Find a review you can identify with and take it from there is my advice. In the end I guess it comes down to what kind of gamer you are and what you expect from it. While there are a number of annoying bugs in it, this is still one of the best expansions I have played in a long time and would say it's well worth the money. If you want combat to remain fun then do yourself a favor and forget the Feltrite Laser was ever included in the game. Not to mention it looks like some kind of advance sex toy. Sadly the same thing can't be said about the Feltrite Laser which is horribly overpowered when fully upgraded and borderline game breaking. The new multi-purpose Void ability is pretty useful and feel well balanced in the overall gameplay. They're a nice spin on the standard wasteland mutants and work very well with the new aesthetic. There's also a new form of mutants called Feltrite Zombies that are tough, fast and like to attack in huge swarms. Even though I owned the old wasteland on a stick with my fully upgraded Walker I have been downed more times duing this DLC than in my previous 80 hour of gameplay put together. The remastered "juiced" Ghost clan is interesting to fight and can provide quite a challenge if not careful. That said I really love the Chernobyl vibe of this new area and truely enjoy walking around the city on foot or sneaking along the rooftops to launch surprise attacks from above. Started the DLC on NG+ Nightmare and so far I have spent somewhere between 10-15 hours in it without even having visited every location yet.
FO4 modding tool kit was neat but kind of ruined the experience of the game for me as I got a little carried away. I doubt we'll see any modding tools like FO4 got either, I could live without them I don't care about the skins and what things look like as long as they work. I have a feeling they would start a Rage 3 if they had a developing team, but I am still not all sure who did this game besides Bethesda & Avalanche using ID Software's "game/story". I know we will get at least 1 more DLC, not sure what it will be about. I hope this is not like FO4 where they released Nuka World and that was about it. this game could be a blast if they did it right. Such a fun game, just wish developers had some heart.
The Autopilot works well on the main map (Wasteland), can't really say I have seen anything else. Combat music ends with that last enemy nowhere in site even if you search around for a bit to see if they are stuck. Still quite a few Den's I can't 100% complete because of a missing enemy. What do you mean? Did they add locations to the old map? Side note: there is also added content locations to other area maps ) Originally posted by NativeOne:very good.
